BakktX API v1.0.0 — Initial Release

Overview

Initial public release of the BakktX API reference documentation.

What's included

This release publishes the OpenAPI reference for Bakkt's institutional digital asset services, split by domain across:

• Accounts and Onboarding — investor account creation, KYC / KYB, legal agreements.
• Trading — order submission, cancellation, retrieval, positions, and supported instruments.
• Transfers — digital asset deposits and withdrawals, fee estimates, wallet address verification, VASP lookups.
• Block Trade and Gifting — block trade allocation workflows across investor accounts and digital asset gift distribution.

Authentication

All endpoints authenticate via an API key sent in the Authorization header. See the Quick Start Guide for the full flow.

Next

Follow-up releases will add code samples in additional languages, expand the guide set, and split the reference further as new BakktX services come online.
